Quelonce

Far beyond the borders of any place you might have been, lies a huge mountain range. Up and over these steep, icy tundras, Quelonce is nestled in a serene valley filled with cool, blue, running streams. Ever-flowing water acting as veins that seem to pump life into rolling green hills, wild vegetation, and various forms of wildlife. All this beauty is blanketed by blue skies and wonderous white clouds.

A gentle breeze constantly blows, further enhancing life in this tranquil environment. And yet, there are some dark corners to this mystical place. This thriving community is comprised of many races and beings. There have been many rumors about this mystical region known as "Quelonce." It is difficult to determine the exact age of this fascinating realm. However, some sages have hinted of its origins dating back thousands of years.

No one is quite sure of the origins of this mystifying region but several theories abound. Translated from an ancient language, "Quelonce" could mean 'hidden land to play,' perhaps a name given to it by a group of mad mages. Some believe this group may have been the ones responsible for creating this mystical place. As Quelonce exists outside the conventional scientific boundaries of both time and space, this theory has some credence. As to the mad mages involved, hundreds of theories and whispered rumors suggest dozens of different culprits.

Others believe, though, that an ancient god or gods created this place as the beta grounds for the human race; a place where a god (or gods) could experiment and decide the scientific rules for all other planets. Perhaps neither of these theories is correct and Quelonce simply is what it is; a place where all times and spaces converge and all things are possible.
